Winter Warriors is a 10 week running program for men and women to help keep you active and social during the cold winter months.
As part of the Winter Warriors program participants will receive the following:
**Group runs to keep you motivated
**Fabulous people to work out with and commiserate with about the winter weather
**Weekly strength workout by the expert trainers at Four Seasons Health Club
**Awesome Winter Warriors long sleeved technical shirt
**Gear up night for participants only with special discounts
**Facebook group for participants only and access to a training program graduates Facebook group after program completion
**Newsletter with tips on proper footwear, injury prevention, cold weather running, and more
This program is for runners and walkers of all abilities, but you won't just be running! Each week we will have a 45 minute strength workout led by the expert trainers at Four Seasons to target those muscle groups that could use a little extra attention. The group runs will allow you to run/walk 3, 4 or 5 miles at your own pace on routes we provide. We will provide fluid after each workout and we hope all Winter Warriors will continue to "hydrate and refuel" at our group socials (dates TBD).
When: Weekly group runs/walks will be at 6:00 pm on Thursdays and our strength workout day will be at on Wednesdays at 6:00 pm. This program will be limited to a maximum of 60 total participants. Our first run/walk will be on November 2.
Where: The runs will leave from Fleet Feet Sports Bloomington and head toward the neighborhoods east of Hershey. Our strength workout will be at Four Seasons I - 904 Four Seasons Road in Bloomington.
Program Cost: $50 per participant. Attend just half of the program sessions (10 workouts total) and you will receive a $25 Fleet Feet Sports gift card for being a successful Winter Warrior. In addition, attend 7 out of 9 strength workouts and receive a free week of small group training at Four Seasons! Those who have 100% attendance at our runs will be entered into a drawing to win their entire program fee back. Those who have 100% attendance at our strength workouts will be entered into a drawing to win one free month of small group training at Four Seasons!
While it is our hope that everyone joins the program with the intention of attending both the run and the strength workout, we understand that some people may be interested in a run-only winter running program. Please contact Sam directly if you are interested in learning more about this option.
