Our Fleet Feet Bloomington Slightly Social Training Program is an 8-week program designed to keep you running in smaller, socially distant groups this summer.  This program is designed to prepare runners for their first ever 5K or 10K or help seasoned runners meet a new performance goal.  Program options include Beginner 5K, Speed Demons 5K, Beginner 10K or Speed Demons 10K

The goal race for this program is the Sizzlin' Summer 5K August 12. However, you can also use this program to train for any race you choose or just to run with a small group of great people.  Please note:  this program will not have official mentors but you will have the support of your coaches and lots of veteran runners via our Facebook group as well as your small group.

Program Details

When: Our program kicks off June 16. You will select your weekday and weekend meeting time when you register.

  • Weekday times: Tuesdays at 5:30 pm or 6:00 pm; Wednesdays at 6:00 pm
  • Weekend times: Saturdays at 7:00 am, 7:30 am or 8:00 am; Sundays at 7:00 am

Where: The group will meet at Tipton Park, Rosa Parks Commons, Rollingbrook Park and other locations in Bloomington-Normal. For this program we will not meet as a group at the store. Participants will receive a program calendar that highlights where the group will meet each week as well as weekly email reminders.

Program Cost: $60 (does not include race fee)

 As part of this Fleet Feet Bloomington Training Program, you receive:

**An eight week 5K or 10K training plan with weekly workouts for running, cross training, and recovery
**A weekly supplementary strength workout provided by our staff personal trainer
**The camaraderie of others that are excited to be running with other people!
**Educational information on running form, running motivation, nutrition, hydration and more
**Online support from coaches and other participants to answer individual questions and help motivate you on your training journey
**Program technical shirt and other great swag
**A 15% store discount for the duration of the program (excludes sale items and electronics)
**Facebook group for participants only and access to a training program graduates Facebook group after program completion
