Thank you for your patience and support while we worked through our next steps for The Big Run. This year’s Global Running Day celebration will look a little different. Races have been cancelled, plans derailed, and we are all adjusting to new normals.
Yes, race day will look different, but our mission remains the same: Inspire the runner in everyone. With that in mind, and in partnership with Brooks Running, we made a few changes to The Big Run that we have known and loved for the past three years.
Introducing My Big Run
My Big Run is personal. We understand each of you have unique goals, and we want to celebrate with you when you achieve them.
My Big Run is an inclusive celebration of getting out there and crossing your own finish line, despite the challenges we are all currently facing. We’ll provide the support, encouragement, and know-how to keep you motivated along the way. You’re about to gain a ton of new running buddies.
How are we going to make this happen?
We’re going virtual. Additionally, you have the option to choose your own race distance this year. Distances include: 1 mile, 5K, 10K, half marathon, full marathon. All distances and results will be included on our national results page. Your registration will also include the following:
My Big Run is still going to kick off our Sizzlin' Summer Run Series.
My Big Run is a national Fleet Feet Virtual Run in celebration of Global Running Day on June 3. Our July and August Sizzlin' Summer Runs are local 5K events. This year registration is separate for the national June race and our local July/August events. Click here to register for our local races

Our goal is to provide you with a physical race. If the physical race cannot take place as scheduled, we will coordinate a virtual race for all participants, including submitted results and medals. We will not issue refunds.
For each event packet pick-up is available at Fleet Feet Bloomington from 5 pm - 7 pm on Tuesday or from 5 pm - 6 pm at Tipton Park before the race on Wednesday
Race Start Time: 6:00 pm (Kids Run on August 12 starts at 5:30 pm)
Awards: No age group awards but participants will receive a finisher's medal for our July and August races
Participant Limit: 125 for each July and August Sizzlin' Summer Run - this is a FIRM participant limit!
Race fees: Register by 6/6 and fee is $10 per race. On 6/7 price increases to $15 per race.
Race will be chip timed by It's Race Time - runners will have a chip start and chip finish time. Thank you to It's Race Time for your generous sponsorship!
