Illini Veterans Memorial 5K

Event Details

Join the Illini Veterans in supporting our wounded armed forces veterans and the Center for Wounded Veterans in Higher Education at UIUC. For 4 years, the Illini Veterans have held the Memorial 5K to honor those that have sacrificed their lives for our nation. The money raised goes to the Center for Wounded Veterans in Higher Education. With the support of the community, we can help raise money for resources and services for our student veterans transitioning from the military to the civilian world.

This course is approved for wheelchairs and strollers.

Don't forget to include your furry friends in supporting veterans. Leashed dogs allowed in the race.

*The Memorial 5K will be held rain or shine. However, if the weather becomes more serious, to include, but not limited to, lightning, strong winds, heavy downpour, and flooding, the race committee may make the decision to cancel the race. If this is to occur, we cannot offer refunds or returns on any funds used for sponsoring the event. We will attempt to work with participants and sponsors to get race materials where they belong. All proceeds will still go towards the Center for Wounded Veterans in Higher Education.*
