ABC Run/Walk #127 is March 18

by:  Merlin Anderson (abcrunner@frontier.com)

ABC #127  (aka “Miles for Mimosas Run”) will be held on Saturday, March 18 at 8:30 a.m. (doors open at 8:00).
ABC#127 will be hosted by Robyn Walter at 1407 Norma Drive, Bloomington
(directions: from Veterans Parkway, go east on GE Road, then turn right on Norma Drive).

ABC #127 will support the Mclean County Child Protection Network
The Child Protection Network (CPN) is the umbrella organization for the Children’s Advocacy Center and the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program.
The Children’s Advocacy Center is the front door for children to come through when there have been allegations of sexual and/or serious physical abuse. In McLean, Livingston and DeWitt Counties, DCFS and law enforcement are required to bring children to our centers to be interviewed by a forensic specialist. This is part of a multi-disciplinary team approach that provides a child-friendly environment focused on reducing trauma to child victims. The CASA Program trains community volunteers to advocate for the abused and neglected children who have been removed from their biological family and placed into foster care.  For more information, go to http://mcleancpn.org

As always ABC runs are free.  Donations of cash or checks are greatly appreciated (make checks payable to “McLean County Child Protection Network”).

If you are a State Farm employee/retiree and write a check for $25 or more, please report your contribution under the State Farm Matching Grant Program.

Run 3 miles, 6 miles, or as much as you want.  Water/Gatorade will be placed near the Japanese Gardens (about 3 miles from Robyn’s home).
